Detailed description:

    A <pre> element that:

      * contain text mixed with blank lines, AND
      * has been styled with the CSS property 'word-spacing',
        with a value other than zero,

    causes several problems:

      * The text is strangely indented.
      * The text has missing or misplaced characters or words.
      * Using a mouse to select text doesn't always hilight all the
        text. The selected text becomes hilighted when it is covered
        by another window, and then uncovered.
      * The 'Find' function doesn't always hilight, or move the
        viewport to, text found on the page.
